Terry Larrier verbally commits to VCU

It may be the biggest commitment of Coach Smart’s tenure. 2014 small forward Terry Larrier made a verbal commitment Monday night to join the VCU Rams. The 6-foot-8, built-for-HAVOC!, Bronx native has the skills and athleticism to contribute on both ends of the court from day one in Richmond.

Armed with a 6’10” wingspan, Larrier should thrive playing full court defense and he is capable of guarding multiple positions. Offensively, he is a nightmare in transition. When the Rams get out and run, he will be a highlight reel waiting to happen.
Larrier made his official visit to RVA this weekend and wasted no time making his commitment despite offers from UConn, Florida, Florida State, and Miami.
Larrier joins 4-star point guard Jonathon Williams (Newark, NJ) and 4-star forward Justin Tillman (Redford, MI) in VCU’s 2014 class, which is shaping up as one of the best ever for the Rams.
The Rams currently have 13 scholarship players and two walk-ons for the 2014-15 season. Coach Smart typically oversigns the 13 scholarship limit by one which means VCU will probably pick up an additional commitment in the coming months.
