Haunted Henricus: Things That Go Bump in the Night

Sit by the fire and listen to European stories early Colonists told as they recounted tales from their homeland. Be sure to bring a blanket!

Howl-a-Woof

Fall Festival

Learn about the area’s local sustainable food movement while you take in the sights at the Science Museum of Virginia’s very own Green Acre Farm. Also: games!

Fall Family Fun Day

Play traditional Victorian games, enjoy arts and crafts, and listen to stories that will answer such Halloween-related questions as “What is the story behind that glowing jack-o-lantern?” Be sure to come in your best spooky, silly, or historical costume!

Goblins and Gourds

Enjoy a concert from Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra, pick out and paint a pumpkin, stuff a scarecrow, and more!

Rockin’ with Renew Crew Fall Festival

Costume contests for pets and kids, a moon bounce, face painters, pumpkin painting, an appearance by Nutzy, and so! much! more!

Phantoms of the Orchestra with Magic Circle Mime Company

Every Halloween the “phantoms of the orchestra” return to haunt the concert hall. The maestro must use the power of the baton to lead this ghoulish orchestra.

Richmond’s “Eerie” Canal Boat Rides

Take a canal boat ride with a historic narrator telling a daunting tale of Richmond’s past as you travel down the Kanawha Canal. Kids get free candy!
