Advertising veteran and aspiring filmmaker David McKay is going full steam ahead with efforts to get his film “The Man Who Would Live” into production.
In addition to current efforts to cast and scout the film, McKay and his filmmaking partners are holding a fundraiser this Wednesday, August 4 from 9pm to 1am at The Fanhouse (2526 Floyd Avenue) to, well, raise funds and to fill the community in on what they are up to. Drink specials will be available, along with prizes and what not.
Here’s a synopsis of the film, courtesy of the website:
When Lyndon’s girlfriend disappears, a charismatic visitor with a greasy haircut and a snugly unkempt suit invades his personal space. The man’s name is Johnny and he’s in the business of taking. Taking what is the question, but for Lyndon, there won’t be time to answer. Armed with a .38 silver-plated pistol and a smile that never quits, Johnny will take whatever he pleases. The only question left for Lyndon to ask is when.
