The lovely folks over at Henley Street Theatre have bestowed us with two, count ’em two, tickets for the performance of your choice of Shining City, their latest production that is set to open next week.
If you’re not familiar with the show, here’s a wee blurb for you…
Shining City is set in modern day Dublin, where a guilt-ridden man reaches out to a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. Wrestling with his own demons, the therapist can only do so much to help. What begins as an unusual therapy session becomes a struggle that will shape and define both men for the rest of their lives–a struggle between the living and the dead. In this contemporary ghost story, Conor McPherson explores what it means to lose faith in God, in relationships and in one’s self.
Ok, not the lightest of subject matter, but other productions of Shining City have gotten incredible reviews – this is sure to not disappoint.
The show opens on October 1st and runs through October 24th. All performances are at 8pm. But like we said, should you win the tickets, you pick the night.
