McAlister’s Deli has made a return to Short Pump. Owner Glenn Miller has opened a 5,000 square foot franchise in the Downtown Short Pump shopping center, ironically in the same center that a previous McAlister’s closed several years ago. The former location is now a Johnny Rockets restaurant.

The Short Pump McAlister’s is Miller’s fifth in Richmond. His next nearest location is in the Gayton Crossing shopping center.

“Short Pump has become one of the most important areas of development in the greater Richmond area over the past ten years,” Miller told our news partner, Richmond BizSense. “The mall is one of the most successful in the nation, and we believe the guest will welcome McAlister’s back to the area.”

The new restaurant seats 150 guests and is located in the space formerly occupied by Short Pump Grill and the Squeeze smoothie cafe.
