Members of the number 22 Shell-Pennzoil crew will pair up at the Kroger store located at 118985 West Broad St. in Henrico on Thursday, April 28 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to compete in a Tailgating Cook-Off, where crew members will barbeque burgers for customers to sample for the chance of being selected the People’s Choice winning team. Additionally, there will be a Grocery Bagging Challenge that will pair the crew members against fans to see who can correctly bag groceries in the fastest time. Fans who fill their bags faster than the crew will win Shell Gift Cards, Kroger Gift Cards and other No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil car themed prizes.

The event is in association with the chain’s partnership with Shell stations throughout the Richmond area, where customers can save up to $1 per gallon at Kroger fuel stations and Shell locations. One fuel point per dollar spent is added to a customer’s loyalty card when they shop, according to store officials.

The number 22 car is manned by NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, who will race this weekend at the Crown Royal Presents The Matthew & Daniel Hansen 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
