So George Mason beat BOTH Virginia and Richmond…. and is somehow ranked below them??? Not sure I follow that logic.
UVA is 0-3 vs the CAA, one of the WORST conferences in the nation. They lost to George Mason AND Old Dominion who is just HORRIBLE. What are you smoking? UVA is 5th on this list. (At best)
UVA is very highly overrated! Having them #2 is a joke after losing to Mason and ODU.
In the Virginia Tech blurb, it says their game against UVA on Thursday is at JPJ, which is false; it’s at Cassell Coliseum.

This is a power ranking, so I try to view the teams more in the present tense. It’s very difficult to make the case for putting GMU above UVA. The Patriots beat the Cavs on November 9th, that’s ages ago. Remember how VCU lost to Seton Hall by 15 points on November 17th last year? By the end of the season, there were maybe 16 teams that were better than the Rams.
Remember, GMU lost to UNCW by 8 points 10 days ago. ODU is bad, but they have talent, a system, and they are capable of beating anyone in Virginia (look no further than the VCU-ODU game). UNCW is just bad. It’s also worth mentioning that 4 of the 6 CPR participants put UVA at #2 and only one (Ryan of GMUHoops.com) put GMU ahead of UVA.
I think you meant to say, in VMI’s blurb, that the teams under them don’t have winning records but instead it sounds like they are the only team on the entire list above .500
