Jones Wins 5th, Election Results

Walking through Shockoe Slip this afternoon, I saw Mayor-elect Jones and wished him congratulations.
He won the district in the election, receiving 39.44% of the Mayoral vote. More results are available on the City website.

Gilpin voted 587-3 for Obama (99.5%)

The city website has a map of all of the voter precincts and a breakdown of the recent vote by precinct. Interesting numbers if you’re into that kind of thing… For instance: by a ratio of 196 to 1, Precinct 212 in Gilpin went the most overwhelming across the whole city for for Barack Obama.
