VHS book sale and VMFA tent sale opens on Friday

Reading is good for the soul.

It’s summer and summer means going to the beach. Going to the beach means sitting the sand with the beverage of your choice handy and good book. If you’re smart you’ve purchased that book at the Virginia Historical Society Book Sale which starts on Friday at 9:30 AM and runs through Saturday.

The sale takes place in the Muesum gift shop and books can be had for as cheap as 50 cents.

The VMFA tent sale despite the misleading name will not be selling tents. Instead you’ll find items that the museum has overstocked and needs to move out so it can make room for new merchandise.

Fri, Jun 6 – Sat, Jun 7, 9 am – 4 pm, Sun, Jun 8, noon – 4 pm | Robins Sculpture Garden
Help us clear out some inventory at the VMFA Shop. An assortment of books, jewelry, posters, DVDs, and more will be drastically marked down to $1 – $20! Since these prices are already so low, extra discounts will not apply. All sales are final. Come early while supplies last!
