Valentine’s Community Conversation turns to Manchester

Learn more about Manchester which was an independent city until annexed to Richmond in 1910.

The Valentine’s fifth Community Conversation series is taking a deep look at various neighborhoods in Richmond. On Tuesday, March, 3rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM,  panelists will gather at the Valentine Museum to give a history of Old Manchester and show how that past has created what we see today.

On the following Saturday, March 7th interested parities are invited on a bus tour from 10:00 AM to noon. The discussion is free to attend; reservations are recommended for the tour by calling 804-649-0711 x301.

The bus tour will explore the history of Manchester that was an independent settlement, town and then city until merging with Richmond in 1910.
