Patrick Henry School goes to the Big Bike Race™

Embracing the race at a young age.

When they first announced the courses for the Big Bike Race™ I was a little miffed that the Southside was basically ignored. Yesterday and today however the race makes a quick dip onto our side of the river and it was an exciting spot to catch the race. In the space of about a 1/4 -1/2 mile you had a chance to see three 90 degree turns.

I wasn’t the only one checking out the race yesterday.

Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts walked down and cheered on the racers. In the days leading up to the race students made signs and learned about the flags of the various countries.

The PHSSA students added loads of excitement to watching the race and am so glad they were there! I really enjoyed watching and cheering from SOUTHSIDE! Was a great location!
