Last day to enter Monument 10K before price increase

One of the largest running events in the entire world, the Monument 10K, will be highlighted this year by a national magazine. Also, registering for the event will cost more beginning tomorrow.

Editor’s from Runner’s World magazine will travel to Richmond for this year’s Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K on March 31st. The national magazine has also launched a training app, SmartCoach Plus, designed specifically for the race. This is the second consecutive year that Runner’s World editors have taken part in the Monument 10K.

RunningUSA recently listed the Monument 10K has the eighth-largest race in the country and the fifteenth in the world. Last year, over 40,000 runners entered the race. In 2000, there were just under 2,500 total entrants.

Beginning tomorrow (February 1st) the price to enroll in the race increases by $5 for both adults and children (to $35 and $15, respectively), and will again increase on March 1st. Runners can register for the event online.
