Help find the Art 180 “D”
I can think of a large number of words that start with “D” to describe someone that steals art from kids.
No, this isn’t a cry for the defense to make a stand in the last quarter, it’s an actual D and it’s missing.
Michael Guedri, ART 180 Program Manager tells us that on 8:45 PM on Friday during First Fridays, someone ran off with the letter D that caps off the word Richmond in front of Atlas, ART 180’s art center for teens located at 114 W Marshall Street. The letters were a project by students at Elkhardt Middle School and depict elements of Central Virginia important to them.
The crime was witnessed by one of the youths in the building, which was crowded in celebration of a new exhibition opening but unfortunately they were unable to stop the crime.
Michael is hoping that by getting word out the letter will show back up or perhaps be spotted by a neighbor in an alley or yard. Art 180 is not interested in the who or the why, they just want their “D” back so Richmond can be complete again.
