GRTC wants YOU for new advisory group

Want a direct line to the GRTC to improve RVA transit? Apply to be a part of its new advisory group.

GRTC will create a Transit System Advisory Group (TAG) comprised of volunteers to recommend transit solutions to “identified” problems. However, the group will not set policy or regulations.

The transit company is looking for 10 people interested in improving Richmond’s public transportation to join TAG. Here’s the geographic representation for the group:

  • City of Richmond — Two members
  • Chesterfield County — Two members
  • Henrico County — Two members
  • City of Petersburg — One member
  • At large — Three members

TAG members will attend four meetings annually, each of which are planned to run two-to-three hours.

There are no demographic requirements to be a TAG member. GRTC only asks that each be interested in public transportation.

To apply, submit an application (PDF) by July 25th.
