Super hot temperatures continue, as does soccer!

Good morning, RVA! It’s already 76 °F, so if you had any hopes of not ending the day a sweaty, stinky mess you should give them up now. Highs today will approach triple digits! Do we rush out to the store and buy milk and bread in this situation? What’s the protocol?

As usual, there’s a slight chance for afternoon storms today and an even smaller chance that they’ll cool things down a bit.

Tonight the Richmond Kickers continue their journey through the US Open Cup and take on the New England Revolution at 7:00 PM in City Stadium. It’ll be a fierce battle between teams with, let’s face it, unfortunately generic names. Tickets are just $15 and are on sale now.

Richmond’s School Board will consider giving students caught with weed a second chance–the current policy is an immediate 365-day expulsion.

WTVR is reporting that 14 food trucks have applied to serve at the Redskins Training camp. That’s 14 more than you would have thought would have applied given the amount of public outrage directed at the $2,500 vending fee ($166 per day).

The RTD has a nice piece on Richmond Spider point guard Cedrick Lindsay as he tries to make the move to professional basketball. Lindsay’s college career ended against the Rams when he tore the meniscuses in both of his knees.
