Go to the Park buy Art and ice cream

Walk amongst the trees and buy a multimedia interpretation of a trees.

Tomorrow is the start of the 43rd annual “Arts in the Park” show and sale at the Carillon in Byrd Park. It takes place May 3rd, 11-6 PM and May 4th, 11-5 PM. You can expect more than 450 artists from all over the country. Paintings, jewelry, fabric arts, yard art, you name it and they’ll have it somewhere.

I’ve never had problem finding on street parking but if you don’t feel like adding a few blocks of walking there are free shuttles available at the City Stadium parking lot and there is handicap parking available at the park.

If you go take your patience because you’re bound to have your foot run over by either a wagon or a stroller. If you take your children there is the lure of ice cream, fried foods, and a playground.
