BridgePark Pop-Up tomorrow

Learn about BridgePark and check out the nifty model.

Information is from the Facebook event and will be held Wednesday, at Storefront for Community Design (205 E Broad Street):

Imagine a park that spans the white water of the James River. Richmond’s very own BridgePark Foundation is working towards bringing this idea to life — dramatically increasing access to the James while addressing some of our downtown’s most challenging gaps in connectivity between city and river levels.

To launch the BridgePark Pop-Up, Storefront for Community Design invites you to feast your eyes on a beautiful 14-foot model that shows the evolution of the BridgePark concept throughout the month of June. On opening night, hear remarks from:

  • Ted Elmore, President, BridgePark Foundation
  • Peter Culley, Architect, Founder, Spatial Affairs
  • Andrea Almond, Landscape Architect, 3North
  • Opening at 6pm.
  • Remarks at 7pm.
  • Suggested donation (cash or credit)
  • Bar (cash or credit)

This is part of the Neighbors conference which is taking place June 25th – 27th, and feature five fantastic keynotes, 53 breakout speakers (12 of them local), at nine venues throughout the Arts & Cultural District. Storefront will continue to make a $40 discount available to Richmonders so for only $35 you can enjoy this event. More details about the conference here.
