The Depot, a building that once served as a trolley station, is the newest masterpiece of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts and a dazzling example of adaptive reuse. It houses the school’s burgeoning interdisciplinary programs as well as gallery space, classrooms, a dance studio and more. The facility is a study in dualities, representing the past and the future, science and art, and technology.

  1. What a beautiful job VCU did with this. Its now the second most beautiful building on Broad St. What a great job VCU has done for the city. How many more vacant buildings would there be without VCU.
