New winter cocktail menu at The Roosevelt

Mix a few originals, a few classics, and a splash of the contemporary, and you’ve got good reasons to drink in Church Hill.

The Roosevelt bar manager Thomas Leggett has redone the cocktail menu at the Church Hill restaurant.

Winter 2014 cocktails features 16 original cocktails, including the restaurant’s signature The Seersucker, along with five classic cocktails and “covers” of two modern drinks.

New drinks include the moonshine-based “Belle Isle Banshee” (made with Belle Isle White Whiskey), “The Calmante” (douglass fir Espolon Blanco, dry vermouth, maraschino, lime), and “The Ex Cop”
(blackstrap rum, blended scotch, dark beer, maple syrup).

The new covers are house versions of New York City bartender Phil Ward’s “The Good Cork” and Atlanta bartender’s Greg Best’s “Edgewood.”
