Richmond is gearing up for this weekend’s Black & Blue Classic. The [ur]Spiders[/ur] are 7-1 and nearly ranked, and the [vcu]Rams[/vcu] are 6-2 with some big wins of their own. Tickets are still available for Saturday’s game — 20$ — GET THEM.
- The [ur]University of Richmond Spiders[/ur] are now “also receiving votes” and ranked #39 in the AP poll. Spiders are 7-1 and return to action against [vcu]VCU[/vcu] on Saturday.
- [vuu]VUU[/vuu] is looking to avenge their close loss against Chowan tonight at home. Tip is at 7:30 — this is a conference game for the Panthers.
- The [fs]Flying Squirels[/fs] will host a Toys for Tots event this Saturday at The Diamond. West of the Boulevard News has more info.
- Cody Grimm won the Dudley Award (Virginia’s top Division 1 player). This is the eighth time in eleven years a player from Virginia Tech has won the award.
- William & Mary is in the midst of picking a new mascot to replace Colonel Ebirt (wtf). The new choices are: Griffin, King & Queen, Phoenix, Pug, and Wren.
