LISTEN: 15 minutes with Hope Armstrong Erb

Music is what drives this YWCA Outstanding Woman, and it’s also how she helps others find their own drive.

Hope Armstrong Erb is a pianist, a vocalist, a teacher, a mentor, and the the founding artistic director of the Greater Richmond Children’s Choir.

She not only teaches all the classics, but she’s got a huge part of her heart reserved for world music. Well, wait a second, it might be more appropriate to say that her whole heart has a layer of appreciation for world music over it. Now we’re getting too much into biology, which is not my strong suit.

The point is, Hope feels that music is the universal language, and she loves seeing how it allows both children and adults to express themselves. Take 15 minutes and get pretty inspired.
