2014 17th Street Farmers Market event schedule

From bacon, to brews, to Brunswick stew, the events at this year’s 17th Street Farmers Market will wallop your senses with fists of awesome.

The 17th Street Farmers Market kicked off its annual event season last weekend with the Richmond Earth Day Festival. Local organization Enrichmond has taken over management of this year’s season, which features nine additional events that are expected to bring over 150,000 people to Shockoe.

Each event will benefit Enrichmond, a non-profit focused on over 100 community-based special projects that serve the city’s parks, people, and public spaces.

All 17th Street Farmers Market events are FREE unless otherwise noted. Food, beverages, and selected activities will be available for purchase at events.

  1. Can you put up the band lineup? Is Rosie Soul coming at all? Sweet Justice I know will but when? Is George Bolos still in charge of these events? Do you need a photographer? My teens have so much fun at these events, you should do more to reach out to parents with teens – like say there’s lots of jewelry, scarves and handbags for the teenage girls or boots and belts and games or something. I don’t know, I’m just thinking that more people would come if their teens wanted to go because on the weekends, if you have a teen, you know they kind of run the show and what you do. I’m not one of those but I have a lot of friends that are.

People should make it a point to come out. Last year, every event was terrific. My family loves being downtown at the market.
