Westhampton Playground open for play again

After several months absence, the popular Westhampton playground reappears a block away

To the joy of families around the Avenues, the Westhampton Playground was finally re-installed last month at its new home along Libbie on the other side of Patterson Avenue. From Jon Baliles:

Although there were several delays, I would like to thank Parks & Recreation for their diligence in completing the project, Dominion Power which buried the power lines at no cost to the City, and the playground company for preserving the equipment and re-installing it.

Parks & Recreation will be installing a fence around the lot in the coming weeks and planting some trees when the cooler planting season arrives. Thank you for all your patience during the relocation!
