Victim of butcher knife attack walks to fire station

The incident occurred Tuesday evening around 5:00 PM.

Sometimes it’s easier just to handle the situation yourself and walk to get help rather than call 911. Such is the case in this RTD story from last night.

A man was stabbed with a butcher knife by someone he knows early Tuesday evening so he walked to a nearby fire station to seek help.

The incident took place in the 3800 block of Chamberlayne Avenue and the fire station is in the 3900 block of Chamberlayne. The victim is expected to survive and police are investigating.
