RTD profiles Surface Architectural Supply

The Scott’s Addition business specializes in restoring reclaimed wood from old barns and other historic structures.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Kirsten and Hunter Webb’s interest in recovering wood from vintage barns and other structures led to the creation of Surface Architectural Supply.

“What appealed to us is the history of the wood. This is not the first time it’s been used,” Kirsten Webb said. “Each piece has its own unique history, and people like to know that history.”

The Richmond-based company sells reclaimed wood and creates a variety of items, such as flooring, paneling, stair treads, front doors, beams, wraps that clad beams, and tabletops for restaurants.
