Kelley’s Gift Shop closing
After more than 50 years in business.
Richmond BizSense reports that the shop at 5601 Patterson Avenue will close this Saturday.
From BizSense:
Owner Cynthia Coldwell said the decision to close was made after co-owner Sara Jane Leggett died of cancer in December 2013. Leggett was 66.
“This business was a labor of love for both of us,” Coldwell said. “It required the combined talents of both of us.”
Kelley’s sells gifts for various holidays and occasions. Its pre-lit Christmas trees, for example, sell for $500 to $700.
Coldwell is discounting much of her inventory as she winds down her business. What isn’t sold will be auctioned off online.
