The Camel – the “social oasis” that quickly became a favorite spot to see local jazz and rock acts since its opening in March 2007 – will host its new “Jazz on Broad Street” series on Wednesdays beginning in 2008. The series was conceived shortly after Rockitz took over booking for The Camel.

January 23 is slated as Jazz on Broad Street’s first night, although no acts have been announced. Admission every week is $6, while Jazz on Broad Street members receive a dollar off of the door price and 10% discount on food and beverages. Follow up on becoming a member in person at The Camel.

The Camel is located at 1621 W. Broad St. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do so immediately. Along with great music, The Camel serves up delicious food, beer, wine and coffee. Possibly the best cappuccino in town.

*Update: The Jazz on Broad Street band is now Steve Kessler, Bruce Nicholls, Matt Hall, and Kip Williams.
