Before I started posting, I wanted to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Eric Steigleder, and I’m the editor over here at EastEndDaily.com. I’m a Richmonder, a lover of coffee, and passionate about local news. I’m excited to get started and looking forward to working with everyone in the East End community to make this site both informative and helpful. I welcome story ideas, news tips, feedback, criticism and anything and everything that you think will make this site better.

I love RvA news. Check it out when i want to know what is going on in RvA. I have lived in the east end for ten years this summer and been following chpn for almost that long. East end daily feels weird. It feels like a direct competitor to chpn. Why? Why are you starting something that is almost like chpn. Chpn is awesome. And has been a great cheerleader for the whole community. Just wondering. Thanks.
@Catherine CHPN *is* awesome, we totally agree! As for why we started East End Daily:
A couple of months ago John, who runs CHPN, decided to take the site out of the RVANews network and run it independently. Since RVANews covers news from all over the city, we needed a home for news about the East End.
