Food & Wine nominates Dutch and Co.’s Chefs

Great news for foodies in the East End.

Caleb Shriver and Phillip Perrow, chefs at Church Hill’s Dutch and Co., have been nominated by Food & Wine Magazine for the title of best chefs in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Here is what Food & Wine had to say about our friends over at Dutch and Co.:

Why They’re Amazing: Because they’re enlivening Richmond’s food scene with unexpected ingredient combinations like spiced pork rillettes with honey-roasted nuts, pig’s skin corn bread and pickled squash.

And if that isn’t enough good news for this neighborhood hot-spot, Style Weekly just named Dutch & Co. the restaurant of the year. This can’t be too surprising, considering the glowing review Style ran last year. Here’s a taste:

…the execution of these dishes is sure to please not only sophisticated palates but also those that prefer comfort food…Not even the smallest details are overlooked in the preparation of each dish…[Dutch & Co.] may just become fast new friends, as the changing seasonal menu promises perpetually new reasons to return.
