Volunteers will help beautify the entrance of the city parks along the UCI Bike Race route. Volunteers will be doing various garden activities like watering, planting, weeding, harvesting, and composting. Learn more and sign up here.

Saturday, August 15, 7-8:30pm – Cycling On Richmond’s Wheel
A Celebration of Cycling by Thomas Houff:  It’s 1898. There are no cars. A group of avid cyclists leave from the Jefferson Hotel to watch a bike race and to attend a lunch banquet at the Lakeside Park. The cycling group tours through 1898 Richmond. What do they see?

What do they talk about? Author Thomas Houff will speak about bicycle rides in a slide presentation at the Bryan Park Nature Center. You can also check out this YouTube video published by Lewis Ginter Gardens.
