The Tobacco Company Club gives up the tobacco
Smoking no longer an option inside the club.
Your indoor smoking options are getting more limited as time passes but overall the reaction on their Facebook page has been positive. The Tobacco Company Club will be making some changes to the interior as they move to a smoke free environment.
Official Press Release.
For over 36 years, guests have been puffing, imbibing, and dancing their cares away on the only dance floor to be found downtown at The Tobacco Company Club. Up until one week ago, The Tobacco Company Club, Richmond’s landmark entertainment venue allowed smoking in their separately ventilated dance club.
In order to enhance the experience of the new generation of Club goers, The Tobacco Company Club, has decided to voluntarily go non-smoking. The twenty-somethings currently flooding the Richmond club scene want a different experience from previous partiers.
The Tobacco Company Club is no stranger to adapting with the times. Things like moving from liquor guns to bottle service, offering credit card service as opposed to collecting cash only at the door, and installing free wifi to ensure that no club goer’s cell phone is ever out of service are all improvements that Club regulars from the 80s would have never given a second thought.
The Tobacco Company Restaurant is Richmond’s premier dining and entertainment facility. The four-story restaurant embodies the spirit of southern hospitality and charm. Whether you are in search of an exquisite meal in an unforgettable atmosphere, a cocktail and conversation in front of the warm glow of a fireplace, martinis at the bar, live music or an exclusive club to dance the night away, The Tobacco Company Restaurant is the place to be.
