The Empress to celebrate 1 year anniversary, open patio

April is shaping up to be a great month for The Empress. They’ve just launched a new breakfast and coffee program, it’s the one year anniversary of the restaurant and co-owner Melissa Barlow’s birthday, and they’ll be opening a patio.

New to the food scene in Carytown, Jaks Bagels & Deli will be featuring late-night event this Friday and Saturday, April 8th and 9th, from midnight to 3 am. Stop in for bagels, eggs, and Rostov’s coffee.

Virginia Wine Week!

It’s Virginia Wine Wek! Did you know that there are 15 wine regions in Virginia and nearly 150 wineries? That Virginia grows seven types of white, six types of red, and multiple others (rosé, sparkling, mead, and other fruit wines)? This year’s theme is “Love by the Glass” and surely Virginia has a lot to love.
