A recent email from the Fan District Association has information a proposal to close a portion of Floyd Avenue to cars:
[…] proposal to close Floyd Avenue between Harrison and Cherry to cars between 9am and 4pm on days when VCU is in session, creating a more pedestrian friendly area in the heart of the campus. Further, VCU’s intent is to be able to allow the parking in that area to be utilized, and how they would allow that is still to be determined.
If they were to implement this it would not be before calendar year 2014.
There is a survey for FDA members.
