This Sunday, June 23, starting at 9AM, Carytown Cupcakes will host a “Customer Appreciation Day” to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their new shop on Cary Street.
Ask anyone- owning a business isn’t easy and, at times, can be rather terrifying. To make the decision to expand on that dream, to take a “leap of faith” that things will work out and that there will be enough of a demand and work to follow is perhaps even more terrifying. Carytown Cupcakes opened their doors to Richmond residents in June of last year and since then, owner Dawn Schick’s leap of faith has managed to pay off tenfold.
As a way of saying thank you to the public, Carytown Cupcakes plans on celebrating their anniversary by having an appreciation day. Every customer who says the magic words, ”Happy Anniversary” before checking out will receive 25% off their cupcake or ice cream sandwich purchase (cannot be combined with other offers). There will also be drawings throughout the day for chances to win FREE gift cards.
