Park Cleanup / Paint the Town Green / Earth Day Extravaganza This Saturday 9 AM – Noon
The big spring park cleanup is this Saturday, April 20th, from 9 AM until noon. It’s a great way to meet some neighbors, get some time outside, and clean our green spaces. The skinny:
- Bring gloves and a garden tool or two (a rake, or whatever you like)
- Early bird kickoff at 8:30 AM in Monroe Park, with VCU volunteers
- Get to Meadow Park at noon for a pizza lunch with all the crew members
- Parks are closed from 9 – noon during the cleanup (Sydney, Lombardy & Paradise Parks)
- For students with volunteer hour obligations, this is a good chance to get some hours
- For Fan residents looking to interact and get to know VCU students, this is a great event.
