A message from Mamie Taylor, the new 5th District School Board representative:
February the 28th, 2013 will be my first 5th District School Board Meeting. The Place is George Wythe High School at 4314 Crutchfield Street Richmond, VA 23224 and the time is 6:30p.m. until 8:00p.m.
I am currently putting together my agenda: some of the topics I am considering are the budget, K-6 at Cary, the charter renewal at Partrick Henry, consolidation, school bullying and school safety, cell phone usage, athletics and so on. I also want to discuss homework clubs in our communities. We all have a role to play, and if we want our schools to be better, then we have to do our part.
I also welcome you all to share any suggestions you have as to what should be placed on the agenda.
It’s an honor to serve our fifth district and I look forward to hearing from you!!!
