1) Lee students bring Thanksgiving to a family in need
Fifth grade students at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Petersburg took their reading theme to heart. The theme was “My World and Yours” and to better relate with some of the issues of the world today, they decided to make a difference in their community.
The students had a food drive from November 5th to November 25th. The food collected was placed in a basket and given to a Lee family who is in need of a Thanksgiving meal.
What a great way to express the theme, “My World and Yours!”
2) A Petersburg Alumni basketball game will be held Friday, November 28 at 5pm.
Admission is $5. The game will be held at William W. Lawson, Jr. Gymnasium, Petersburg High School.
Come out and see the past tradition of Petersburg Basketball!
