2 12 Gallery’s first major collaborative show features an intriguing collection from artists Matt Lively, Matthew Lively, Hunter Boxley, Andy Trinko, and Hillary Knause. Join us for the artists’ reception on Sunday afternoon, November 16th, from 2-5 pm. The show runs through Sunday, December 21st
“More like a collaborative” says Lively, as he describes the work and how these 5 artists work together. Not unlike a rock band, these artists each contribute work and add his or her own input to the final piece, based on the level of curiosity and artistic inspiration. “Hunter likes to paint on my paintings” comments Lively, “but Hillary has her own body of work to present.” The collaborative is only subject to a major melt down by one or more participants, which could lead to a complete disbanding.
12 12 Gallery, South Richmond’s Fine Art Gallery, is located at 12 East 12th Street, in the John B Anderson House, just east of Hull Street. Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays 12-4, Saturdays 11-6, Sundays 12-5, and by appointment.
