From Petersburg Police: On November 8, 2006 at approximately 6:00 a.m., Robert Lewis Braswell Jr., was shot and killed in the parking lot of his business at 126 N. Crater Rd. Investigators of the Petersburg Bureau of Police have been investigating the case and following numerous leads. In September 2008, there was a break in the case and based upon that information several suspects were identified and charged. Three adult suspects have been arrested and there is an outstanding Juvenile Detention Order on file for a fourth suspect who is on the run. Although arrests have been made in this case, investigators still consider this an ongoing investigation, and still encourage concerned citizens and witnesses to provide additional information.

Current reward for information leading to an arrest is $1,000 from Crime Solvers, 861-1212, and $10,000 from the Robert Braswell Reward Fund.

Additionally, a Casino Night fund raiser will be held on the second anniversary of Mr. Braswell’s death, November 8, 2008 at the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge located at 170 Moose Avenue.
