A Northside mother of twins — and professional blogger of all things that come in pairs — recently highlighted a visit to We All Scream with her daughter:
Mommy: “Hey Sarah, as a special treat*, let’s try out the new ice cream store!”
(*as if I needed to qualify the indulgence…)Sarah: “I don’t know. Maybe we should just get some gelato from the coffee shop.”
Mommy: “Honey, the coffee shop is already a huge success, and we’ll still go there often. Let’s go support the new business, and let the owners know we’re glad they’re here.”
[Later]
Sarah: “That place is great. I thought they’d just have the fundamentals.”
Mommy: “The fundamentals?”
Sarah: “You know, just the most basic flavors.”
