Stir Crazy Café on MacArthur Avenue has a show of photography, jewelry and other art by Richmond artists Suzanne L. Vinson and Jayme Reaves running for one more week. The Times-Dispatch explains the show’s title, “From Near and Far”:

In explaining the “far” in the show’s title, Vinson says Reaves is studying in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The “near” refers to the fact that Vinson remains in Richmond, the adoptive city for both artists and one to which they feel a strong connection. In addition to being an artist, Vinson is an ordained minister who uses art in working with bereavement groups and dementia patients. Reaves is in Belfast earning her doctorate in peace and reconciliation studies from Trinity College. “From Near and Far” runs through Aug. 31 at 4015 MacArthur Ave. Open seven days a week. For details, call Suzanne L. Vinson at 869-1184 or visit www.silvertreeart.net.
