Richmond residents should add a day to their regularly scheduled trash pick-up next week as a result of the Labor Day holiday.
All City of Richmond offices are closed Monday, September 1, 2008 in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. This includes the Solid Waste Management Division; therefore refuse collection will operate on a holiday schedule.Normal collection routes will begin Tuesday, September 2, with Saturday, September 6, being considered as a make-up day for refuse collections.
Additionally, the East Richmond Road Convenience Center will be open Saturday, September 6 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. City residents and business owners should also note that beginning September 2, the start time for refuse collections will change from 5:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice.
