Michael Paul Williams follows up on last week’s story about the Armstrong choir’s need for some help:

Thanks to the generosity of the Richmond community and beyond, that is no longer a problem. The choir will perform in New York, three weeks later than planned. Checks that weren’t walked through the doors of the East End school arrived by mail from as far away as New York and Texas. They ranged from $5 to $4,000, “and every amount is appreciated,” Griffin said. “I was very overwhelmed by it. … People really just came through.”
