I just got a packet in the mail today calling all Brunswick Stewmasters to submit their stew plan for the 8th Annual Brunswick Stew Festival. First place is a sweet $2,000.
I have gone to the festival every year, and I love it. Even though, I can’t usually partake in the actual stew eating. See I’m vegetarian, and last year was the first year that a team actually took on that challange.
And, last year both my husband and my daughter won first place in The Market is Your Canvas art contest. That was sweet too.
The Brunswick Stew Festival is November 3 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Farmer’s Market in Shockoe Bottom. For more info check out the 17th Street Farmer’s Market website.
