A Richmond Police officer has been arrested following an alleged sex offense that occurred at Godwin High School. It was reported by a 15 year old victim’s mother that Officer Ronald Oaks convinced her daughter to show him nude pictures of herself.
Oaks, who volunteered to assist the band at Godwin High School, allegedly offered to take her son and the victim to a restaurant during a break at the school event on November 8th, according to Henrico Police’s Lt. Eric Owens. While in line, Oaks asked the victim if she had any nude pictures of herself on her cell phone.
The victim acknowledged that she did have pictures, but refused several times to show them to Oaks. He eventually convinced her to show him a number of pictures of herself in various states of undress.
Ronald Oaks was charged with taking indecent liberties with child by person in custodial or supervisory relationship, a class 6 felony.
