ACC & CAA preview, week 10

Last week the Hokies escaped defeat at the embarrassing hands of the Blue Devils, this week they rest. Here are the rest of your ACC & CAA picks! PS. I improve to 32-11 on the season!

Hokies vs. bye week

Finally! A bye week! These Hokies need a bye like I need a gin & tonic. They’re tired, young, and injured. Hopefully the week off will give them a chance to heal up and prepare for the huge game against Georgia Tech down in Atlanta. The Jackets spent last weekend pasting Clemson and ruining any hope the Tigers had for a national championship run. Meanwhile the Hokies almost lost to Duke. How freaking stressful was that? So stressful.

I look forward to this Saturday when I have no emotional investment any game.

Virginia vs. Maryland

UVA took home a W on the road against Miami–guys, what does it meannnn. I started out this season pretty high on the Wahoos: I really like Mike London, and they have some talented players. It just seems that when the Cavs are supposed to win, they lose, and when they are supposed to lose, they win. THEY DEFY EXPLANATION. Therefore I am picking them to lose on the road to a terrible Maryland team.

Richmond vs. Old Dominion

This is the first game in a rivalry that will no doubt prove to be so totally awesome–that is unless one of the teams leaves to join the Big Eats. ODU, my one wrong pick last week, is getting it done. I’m going to go a head and predict that they will not lose in either of their final two regular season games (Richmond and William & Mary). The Spiders, boy howdy, they are looking down the barrel of a 3-8 season. Hold on Spider fans, this is only going to get worse.

JMU vs. New Hampshire

Tough loss last week Dukes. At least if you’re going to lose them, might as well lose them in style, amiright? I’m going, against my better judgement, with JMU on this one. Let’s get things back on track, OK?

William & Mary vs. Rhode Island

William & Mary has not won two consecutive games since week two and three. However, they haven’t lost two consecutive this season either (LWWLWLWL). Last week’s 38-27 loss to Towson means W&M for the win!
