After waiting more than a year for repairs and upgrades to be completed, the James River Park System visitor center at Reedy Creek has finally reopened.

As of noon Tuesday, Nov. 1, it was reopened. That was too late for the Friends of the James River Park to hold its monthly meeting there, but the James River Outdoor Coalition is scheduled to hold it’s November meeting there Wednesday.

The facility holds office space for park staff, including manager Ralph White and trails manager Nathan Burrell, but also has many educational and informational uses, plus often serves as a meeting place for community groups.
