All this week, tenants of West Broad Village are hosting a “FUNdraising For The Cure” cancer awareness event. Proceeds from certain items at West Broad Village restaurants and shops will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Some new office space is on the horizon. The Residents of West Broad Village site reports a proposed 81,000 square foot, three story office building is looking for tenants. Eagle Commercial Realty, major investors in West Broad Village, will construct the building when leases begin to be signed. CBRE Richmond is handling leasing. The building will be behind Trader Joe’s near John Rolfe Parkway.

The wildly popular musical Wicked is in town and Frostings is celebrating in a most unusual way. They’ve taken advantage of their “Theme of the Week” contest on Facebook to come up with some wicked cupcake ideas. This week, you can purchase some delicious cupcakes adorned with all types of shapes and designs to celebrate Wicked and the Wizard of Oz.

Advance Auto Parts has leased 6,565 square feet of retail space in the Short Pump Crossing Shopping Center, according to Richmond BizSense. No word on an opening date of the store.

Smart Moves – Yoga for Kids is one of the latest opportunities to help children overcome many of the challenges they face in life. They are now offering classes at Melody Magic Music Studios in Short Pump.
