Bellevue’s gem of a restaurant — Tastebud’s on MacArthur Avenue — is officially expanding. In addition to a new space just next door to its former nook (in the former Sammy’s Bakery space), there will be a name change.
Northside, please welcome Tastebuds American Bistro. From the restaurant’s new website:
You heard the news? We are expanding our restaurant to serve you better. The name will change from Tastebuds to Tastebuds American Bistro. Seating capacity will increase threefold including a small bar. Yes, we will be moving from 4023 MacArthur Avenue to 4019 MacArthur Avenue. That is only 2 doors to the right. The grand opening date has not been set.

This means more seating, more bar, more grilled leg of lamb with balsamic fig syrup, more sliced sirloin with blue cheese chive butter, golden beet & string bean salad and bacon potato cake…but most of all, more reasons for me to eat.
What a great success for Andrew and Valentina, the owners. Tastebuds started out as a catering company, moved into the to-go meal realm, added four tables, got a liquor license and, now finally, they will be a real live restaurant.
