JROC was formed “to provide resources to make improvements in the James River Park and to educate and advise others on park issues.”

The James River Outdoor Coalition is a non-profit organization that supports the James River Park System through donations and volunteer efforts to improve park facilities. JROC also takes an active role in issues that affect the Park System’s useage and its natural resources.

They build things. They clean the park. They are outdoorsmen, paddlers, hikers, bikers, artists, writers, historians. They have visions for improvements to the park and are always looking for new members.
